Day 6 – 6 August.
A small South African joke…
“What’s worse than a Monday?... a Monday in India” LoL. Just kidding guys, India is great… No seriously, the traffic is not worse on a
Monday in regards to any other day of the week; actually I think it might be a
better traffic day.
Starting the blog of a Monday with the traffic suggests the
honest truth about the day… It was a really, really (one more) really slow
day. Hein and I were still trying to get
the framework running on our “new office” PCs.
5 points for us; we are done with it by the end of today.
Today we decided to take India and the street shops by the
horns and grab a “vada pav”(sounds like Wada-POW) as a snack before lunch…
Kaishni and I couldn’t get anything in afterwards, not because it is a big meal…
let’s just say the average (okay 75 persent if you look at our stats) South
African stomach wouldn’t have been able to take anything else after that (Hein
being the exception, this round) and Lourens chickening out after bite one. The “vada pav” actually tasted quite good,
but the after effects could leave you with a cold sweat on the forehead.
The rest of the day in the office was rather
uneventful. Hein and I went home with a
ton of work. We were seriously busy
until almost 12h30… We started feeling
the lack of sleep also. Our systems seem to have adapted to the waking up 3
hours earlier than it should, but the going to bed 3 hours earlier hasn’t yet
kicked in. So we were all a little edgy
today… Not in a bad way, just in a “leave me in my corner and I’ll be okay”
kind of way.
Like I said, it was a quiet day so the other “news like”
thing is that today it started looking like we wouldn’t be visiting Ghoa
anymore. Also I think Lourens is really
starting to miss home, but he is still okay.
As for Kaishni, Hein and I, we are still going strong (no kids or
spouses to be worried about). Die verlange sal seker eventually inskop.

levels including novice, beginner and awesome
