Day 19 – Go Carts.
We got up early today for a trip to the waterfall view point…
only to realize that we had the time wrong by one hour. We decided to use the time for something
constructive: breakfast. We went over to
Mark’s hotel and enjoyed a pretty awesome layout there. The eggs are great, but maybe give the pork
sausages a skip…?
After breakfast we drove about 30 min before getting the
rest of the guys at the ¼ mark. By this
time we started playing some games in the car… yes “I spy with my little eye” was the beginner and then we moved over
to something a little more socially acceptable:
“I’m going camping and I am taking
a…” well that was fun for the first 2 hours… and yes we didn’t even reach 2
thirds of the way. We stopped for a cold
drink and some nature calls and then we got under way again. By the time we reached 3 hours of driving and
still being stuck in traffic we decided to give it up for a bad job and head
back. That was when the fun started.
We stopped at a Go Cart track that we saw on like hour 2 or
something. As we approached the track it
looked really sad, the carts seemed to be going really, really slow. We decided to give it a go in any case,
because otherwise the entire day would have been a waist without a try. We got on the carts… and then all hell broke
loose; in a good way of course. The
speed that we saw was only due to the other guys not pushing the cars to the limit. We did.
We had about 4 minor accidents and one of the cars had a break down
halfway through. Mark had a bump of
note. Seriously I think we should give
him a certificate for the show he put on there.
We will upload the video of this at some point then I shall share the link.

After the Go Carting we went to a pretty famous restaurant
where we had some true traditional Indian food.
The flavour was explosive! It
tasted good, but I don’t think any one of us tasted anything after the 3rd
or 4th bite… Also the
el-Torro we had beforehand didn’t help too much.
The meal was awesome, but the drive back not so much. Our driver was driving like a bat out of
hell. So one of the guys told us it
would be a 45min drive, we didn’t believe him due to the traffic on our way
there… so I think the driver was trying to prove the other guy’s point by pushing
it as hard as possible. But even with
his Michael Schumacher racing skill it took us 1 hour 5min and yes we timed
it.
When we got home we just fell over and drifted off to dream
land as smoothly as possible.
-this was thought about on many
levels including novice, beginner and awesome
