Day 15 – Independence Day
On the day off I follow my usual tradition… sleeping late is
the route I take, but no worries, not the same late as on a weekend. By 10 we
are up and ready to… sit and wait for 1pm.
So come 1pm we jumped on 2 rickshaws and made our way back to the
InOrbit mall. Hein and Lourens were not
too fond of the Spa idea so they left Kaishni and myself there and wondered off
into the mall. I decided to get a little
more than a simple haircut; I also went for a facial… I can totally understand
why women like going to the spa for a facial.
We spent almost three and a half hours at the spa… totally worth
it. After that we again realized that
having lunch might be a good idea, Hein and Lourens found an awesome little
stand that makes chicken hotdogs with cheese chips. It was great until I almost threw Kaishni
with my cheese chips, complete accident I promise.
Hein finally found the shoes that he was looking for; this
put him in a rather good mood as he usually doesn’t like shopping for shoes too
much. We also found an Ice Rink in the
mall – we will definitely be coming back here.
Again we went into way more toy shops than any of us belong in with no
kids around.
Also just a side note, I think Hein and I are being
conditioned (mini mouse: L.O.L.)…
On our way back home we found some adventurous rickshaw
drivers… they decided to have a dice home, in doing so Hein and Lourens’ driver
drove through 2 manholes and almost tipped their rickshaw… nerves were
shattered but they seemed to be okay by the time we got home. Back home we sat and caught our breath for
about 25 min (Kaishni used this time to ditch us) then we decided to go back to
the Phoenix mall… again… the third time today… in a mall… At least the main purpose for this trip was
food and believe it or not, Lourens fell for the pizza trick for the second day
in a row. While sitting at the Pizza Hut I saw a girl that looked just
like a friend of mine (she also blogs and I think only she will know who I am
talking about here) you can do it.
Then we could finish off the day with these words: “Happy Independence day India.” Deep breath : “ We are half way through
guys!!!”
-this was thought about on many
levels including novice, beginner and awesome
